Some babies make their parents wait a little longer to meet them. And this little girl decided to make a grand entrance all her own. After keeping her parents on their toes past her due date, she finally arrived, healthy and beautiful, ready for her first photoshoot at my Wall, NJ studio.
A Morning Full of Sweet Expressions
When the family arrived, Mom headed straight to hair and makeup while I began photographing the baby. She was wide awake and full of personality. Stretching, yawning, and giving me all those curious newborn expressions that parents absolutely adore.
These moments are some of my favorites to capture because they show just how alert and full of wonder a newborn can be in their first days.
A Calm Touch and a Mother’s Embrace
By the time Mom’s glam look was complete, the baby was ready for cuddles. The moment she was placed in her mother’s arms, she relaxed instantly. It’s always magical to witness that connection. The way a baby knows her mama’s touch, her scent, and her heartbeat. Within minutes, she drifted into the deepest sleep, giving us the perfect opportunity to capture those peaceful, curled-up poses every parent dreams of.
Creating the First Family Portraits
After we finished the individual baby setups, we moved on to family portraits. These are often some of the most emotional moments of the session. Seeing two people who have just become parents hold their baby together for the first time – it’s a memory they’ll cherish forever. Their love, pride, and joy were written all over their faces.
