My camera is connected to a laptop, so you’ll be able to review your photographs as we work. If something doesn’t feel right, we can adjust your pose, expression, clothing, background, or lighting before moving forward.

01. Planning
After booking, you’ll receive a preparation guide with practical recommendations on clothing, colors, accessories, grooming, and what to bring.
If you’re deciding between several outfits, you’re welcome to send me photographs before your session. I can help you choose the option that fits your profession and photographs best.
02. Your Session
I’ll guide you through your posture, angles, hand placement, and expression throughout the session.
You won’t be left wondering what to do. We’ll work through several variations so you have different expressions and positions to choose from.
03. Image Review
You’ll see your photographs on a laptop during the session.
Reviewing them together allows us to identify what you like, make adjustments immediately, and continue until we have an image you feel confident using.
04. Retouching and Delivery
After choosing your favorite photograph or photographs, your selections will be professionally retouched.
The goal is to create a polished result while keeping you recognizable and natural. Your finished images will be delivered through an online gallery in both high-resolution and web-size formats.
Standard turnaround is approximately two to three weeks.

A clean white or grey background works well for LinkedIn, company websites, business cards, professional directories, and press features. Branding sessions can also include additional studio backgrounds, lighting styles, and more relaxed portraits.
We’ll choose the direction based on your clothing, profession, brand, and where the finished images will be used.
What to Wear for Your Headshot
You don’t need to buy an entirely new wardrobe for your session.
Choose clothing that fits well, makes you feel confident, and reflects how you normally present yourself professionally. Solid colors and simple, structured pieces generally photograph better than busy patterns, large logos, or distracting accessories.
Depending on your profession, good options may include:

A standard individual headshot session usually takes approximately 30 minutes. I allow enough time to guide you, review the photographs, and make adjustments without rushing.

Can I see my photographs during the session?
Yes. My camera is connected to a laptop, allowing us to review your photographs together as we work. This helps us make immediate adjustments and gives you confidence that we have created an image you like.
Can I purchase more than one image?
Yes. Your session includes one finished image, and additional photographs can be purchased after you review your options. You don’t need to decide in advance.
Is professional retouching included?
Yes. Your selected image will be professionally retouched while still looking natural and recognizable.
Do you provide professional hair and makeup?
Professional makeup is available as a $200 add-on. Advance scheduling is required.
Can I bring more than one outfit?
The standard headshot session includes one outfit. If you need multiple outfits, backgrounds, and a larger variety of photographs, a personal branding session may be a better fit. Contact me so we can plan the right option.
What backgrounds are available?
White and grey backgrounds are available for standard headshots. Other backgrounds and lighting options may be available for personal branding sessions.
Do you photograph company teams?
Yes. Team headshots are available at my Wall Township studio, and on-location photography may be available for offices, conferences, and corporate events.
