When I first started my photography journey, I had no idea what kind of photography I wanted to specialize in. I tried my hand at different genres. I loved creating beautiful portraits for women the most. Everything changed when I got pregnant! During pregnancy, our body changes and we might not feel as confident as before, at least that’s how I felt. I realized that with my skills and passion for photography, I could not only empower women and create portraits that would boost their confidence but also capture everlasting memories!
Becoming a mother myself made me appreciate the beauty and fragility of new life in a way that I never had before. Capturing those same emotions in my photographs feels natural to me now. That’s why I chose maternity and newborn photography as my niche. Being able to capture those precious early moments for other families is an absolute joy, and I am honored to be able to do it.
Why Newborn and Maternity Photography?
Choosing newborn and maternity photography as my niche was an easy decision for me. As a mother, I know how important it is to document those early years. They go by so quickly! Photographs are one of the best ways to preserve memories, and I am passionate about creating beautiful images that families will cherish for a lifetime.
There is something so special about maternity portraits. Expectant mothers are glowing with excitement and anticipation, and I love being able to capture that magic. Newborn babies are only tiny for a brief moment in time, and I feel incredibly privileged to be able to photograph them while they’re still so little. Each baby is unique and beautiful, and it’s always a joy to work with them.
It Allows Me To Be Creative!
Another reason why I love newborn and maternity photography is because it allows me to be creative in a way that other genres don’t. When you’re working with a precious new baby, you have to be careful and intentional with every shot. That might sound like it would be restrictive, but for me, it’s quite the opposite. It’s liberating to know that every frame counts and that my creative choices can make a real difference in the end.

Finally, I love being able to capture such an important moment in my clients’ lives. These photos will be cherished for generations to come, and knowing that I was able to play even a small role in that is truly gratifying.
