New Jersey Maternity Photographer
Congratulations on your upcoming bundle of joy! Now that you’re expecting, you’re likely considering capturing this special time with a maternity photoshoot. As exciting as it might be, there are several steps you need to take in order to ensure that your photoshoot is a success. Read on and get ready to prepare for your maternity photoshoot in no time!

Location
The location of the photoshoot is important, as it will set the tone for the entire session. Choose somewhere meaningful to you – like where you first met your partner or where they proposed – or pick a place that reflects what stage of pregnancy you are in. New Jersey is called the Garden State for a reason! There are so many beautiful parks and gardens. You can check out my top go to locations in Monmouth County and Mercer County HERE.

Choose Your Outfit
The outfit you choose for your maternity photos should not only make you feel comfortable and confident but should also represent the essence of the moment. Choose an outfit that makes you feel beautiful and highlights the curves of your body. I offer a variety of beautiful gowns that you can use during your session. You can see my gowns HERE.
It would be best if you could choose several outfits and accessories so that we can take multiple photos with different looks. Consider wearing something that will show off your baby bump, such as a flowy dress, dress with an open front or a wrap top paired with a skirt or jeans. You may also want to consider wearing something sentimental, like a piece of jewelry or accessory that reminds you of someone special in your life.

Posing Tips
Maternity photoshoots are typically done between weeks 30-36 of pregnancy when mom-to-be still has energy but isn’t overly uncomfortable yet! During this stage of pregnancy, women can usually do most poses without any discomfort – just make sure to listen to your body and don’t push yourself too much! When posing for photos, focus on highlighting elements like hands resting on baby bump and long silhouette lines created by legs and arms – these will all add variety to your photo gallery! And don’t forget about dad-to-be – including him in some shots will create memories that will last forever!

Set The Mood
You want your maternity photoshoot to capture genuine emotion—so it’s important that the mood is set just right before beginning the shoot. I want everyone feel relaxed in front of the camera lens. It’s much easier to capture natural moments when everyone is feeling calm and comfortable!

Find The Right Photographer
The key to taking beautiful photos is finding the right photographer. Do some research by looking at different photographers’ portfolios and reading their reviews before deciding which one is right for you.

Once you’ve chosen a photographer, communicate with them regularly so they can understand exactly what kind of shots you want captured during your shoot. This will ensure that they have all the information they need in order to create beautiful photos that reflect who you are and what this moment means to you.
Preparing for a maternity photoshoot doesn’t have to be stressful—in fact, it can actually be an enjoyable experience! By following these simple steps, you’ll be able to create stunning memories that will last a lifetime! So relax, enjoy yourself—and don’t forget to smile! Most importantly, remember why exactly this milestone is so meaningful; it’s important to cherish every moment before your little one arrives! Good luck with everything! I know it’ll be an amazing experience for you and your family!
